The Paleo Diet: Day 9

Today’s Meals

Breakfast:
Open meal for breakfast. Nothing fancy to report. The basic bagel and egg sandwich with spinach and tomato is what I ate.

Lunch:
Lunch day 9

  • 6oz of plain chicken (from the roast we had the other night
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • 300g of grapes
  • 1 apple

Dinner:
dinner day 9

  • 2 eight ounce coconut pancakes
  • 4 pieces of all natural turkey bacon with no salt as a preservative
  • 1/4c of pure maple syrup from Vermont
  • 10oz of orange juice

The pancakes were made from coconut flour, vanilla extract, raw and unprocessed honey, eggs, and coconut milk. It was truly a fantastic meal and the best Paleo pancake recipe I have come across. Nichole and I were both satisfied for the rest of the night and didn’t require a snack. Here’s the link again to the coconut pancakes.

Snack (mid-day):

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 medjoole dates

The past few days I have been craving sweets, cookies, and cake. A good way to curb the sweet tooth is to make Paleo friendly sweets, eat dates, and add raw and unprocessed honey to your meals. Tomorrow I’m making Paleo brownies which involves raw and unprocessed honey, coconut butter, and raw coca powder. Other than the sweet tooth, I have nothing out of the ordinary to report.
